ITA Initiatives Foundation Mission & Vision

The mission of the ITA Initiatives Foundation is to provide underserved, low-income, high-performing students in the School District of the City of Pontiac with exceptional educational opportunities.  To do this, we are engaging in a school-expansion program.  We hope that this new environment will offer a place of transformation, stability and options for students to reach their full academic potential regarding enrollment, graduation and student scholarship.

Our vision is to serve as a support system for students, families, teachers, and staff in a K-12 setting and to promote school-community initiatives that will yield an opportunity for meeting new educational goals in a systemic, integrated manner, while focusing on a STEAM curriculum.

APPROACH:

Building on current levels of the Pontiac school system support structure, engage with local businesses and foundations to provide International Tech Academy and its students with the following concentrations: technology growth; science lab and additional new program provisions; volunteer support for minor beautification and restoration; internship and future employment opportunities.
In partnership with the Pontiac School Board and School Administration we will drive collaboration with Business and Government to explore CRA and grant opportunities to help reduce future school bond costs in providing a ‘new built’ campus in alignment with community town hall meeting feedback.
